Funds overseas Islamic study in Egypt, Jordan and Morocco for asnaf (fakir, miskin, muallaf, fisabilillah), covering fees and living costs. Managed with JAIS.
Parallel education aid from state zakat bodies: early-study aid and dermasiswa for tertiary students at home and abroad, including Middle East religious study.
Bumiputera. Covers Foundation, Diploma and Degree at local and international institutions - far more flexible than the MARA overseas scholarship (which needs 8A SPM).
A full ride (fees, accommodation, allowance) but tied to Albukhary International University in Malaysia, and means-tested (very low household income), ages 18-22.
Also worth checking, depending on your background: Yayasan Peneraju (Bumiputera, weighted to professional/vocational), and corporate foundations (Hasanah, Sime Darby, Maybank, CIMB), which mostly fund top-university and professional courses rather than overseas Islamic studies. Include them only if your programme fits.
